RAINBOW TROUT

They live up to 11 years. Rainbow can grow as big as 36 inches and longer with an average weight between 2 to 4 pounds; but some may achieve 10 pounds or more. Greenish to olive colored on the top with lots of small black spots on the back and along the fine, they have a distinct reddish stripe on the side and a pure white belly. Rainbow trout are spring spawners (between March and early July) and typically spawn for 3 to 5 seasons after they mature at age 6 or 7.
